Roald Dahl's Day 2013

Today, 27th September is Roald Dahl's Day. Roald Dahl, one of the most famous children's author would have celebrated his 97th birthday on 13th September. Roald died in 1990 leaving behind him a legacy of writing. The writer is known for penning Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, Matilda, Fantastic Mr Fox, The BFG and dozens of other stories. Today we had a special family and friends celebration of Roald Dahl. We took the role of Quentin Blake, his famous illustrator. Together with our brothers, sisters, cousins and friends we illustrated the world of characters created by this gifted author.
