Exploring Autumn

20th Oct 2016

We love to learn outside. Today we participated in lots of activities which helped develop our observation , listening and performing skills. We started by drawing sound maps, locating and drawing sounds which we heard around us. We talked about the different sounds and different directions they were coming from.

We have been looking at the work of Andy Goldsworthy, a temporary artist. We collected some natural materials to try our own versions.

We used our sense of hearing, touch and sight to guide and be guided during a 'Blind Man's Buff' activity.

We used our imaginations to find magical make-believe uses for a variety of natural items that we found. This ranged from a dragon's tooth, to a sword, to a Princess' brush, to a cowboy's lasso.

We found a natural stage in between the trees and said our Autumn poems.

Take a bow P2/3!!!
