Around The World

P2/3 showed a great interest in the World Around Us Topic 'Around The World'.

A HUGE thank you to James D, who supplied us with bunting for our classroom which had flags from 24 different countries on it. We enjoyed working out the names and locating the country which was directly above our seat.

We explored this topic through a variety of activities such as: investigating famous places through art, model-making and stories; learning action rhymes in different languages; making tribal and carnival masks; map work; research into the ' Willow Tree' pattern traditionally found on plates; exploring the journey of bananas from tree to our homes.
