Anti- Bullying Week NI (19th - 23rd November)
In our school we are learning about how Bullying can affect children and how we as children can make a difference.
We discussed how we have similarities and differences. Sometimes we are the same and sometimes we are different. We also learnt that sometimes we are all the same but there can still be differences. The most important thing that we learnt was that it is ok to be different.
In Primary 7 we moved around the classroom finding peers who had the same similarities and differences. We had to work together as there had to be a mixture of both girls and boys in each group. This task involved alot of discussion in order for the groups to have agreed similarities and differences. Some of the similaries and differnces included:
Similarities:
- We all have the same colour of hair.
- We all have the same colour of eyes.
- We are all in Primary 7.
- We are all the same age.
- We all have the same teacher.
- We all have a pet dog.
- We all live the same type of music.
- We all live on a farm.
Similar but different:
- We are all part of a familiy but our families are all different sizes.
- We all have pet dogs but our dogs are different.
- We all have a favourite song but the song is different.
- We all live on farms but we each live on a different farm.
- We are all in Primary 7 but we each are unique.
