Trip to Lough Fea Water Treatment Plant

6th Apr 2016

Today Primary 5 class went on a visit to the Water Treatment Plant at Lough Fea.  This was a very enjoyable and informative trip for everyone.  Our guide Irwin explained the process of how our water is cleaned before it enters our homes. Previously we had sent the NI Water board a questionnaire which they completed and sent us back lots of information about the areas Lough Fea supplies (19,530 properties), the chemicals used to purify the water and the consumption of water cleaned per day (10.5 million litres).

We would like to thank  NI Water and our guide Irwin.
