P5 Waterwheel Test

18th May 2016

As part of our topic on Water we were learning about how waterwheels worked in the past.  We decided we would like to make our own waterwheels.  The first stage was planning the design and deciding what materials we could use. We used different materials for example polystyrene cups, k-nex, corflute, bottle tops and cardboard.  The next stage was making the waterwheels and the final stage was testing them with water to see if they would turn.  There was great excitement as we watched the water being poured onto the wheels.  We were so delighted when the wheels began to turn.
